SEASIDE TOURNAMENT

Warrnambool volleyball is also home to Australia’s biggest and longest-running volleyball event, the Seaside Tournament held every long weekend in March.

This tournament draws players from at least three states, including country and metropolitan Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. More than 600 players, officials, and supporters converge on Warrnambool’s state-of-the-art stadium annually for the tournament, contesting more than 180 matches. It has been estimated the event generates more than $470,000 for the city’s economy in accommodation, meals and entertainment each year.
